7 Best Free Blu-ray Ripper Programs of 2021

A Blu-ray ripper is a program that converts your Blu-ray disc into a file, typically the ISO format, which is helpful when you want to back up a movie for safekeeping or convert a disc to a file for playing on your digital devices.

While some Blu-ray rippers will cost you anywhere from $50 to $100 USD, some of the most highly-rated and feature-rich rippers are completely free.

Below is an alphabetical list of the best free and paid Blu-ray ripper programs available. We’ve used all of these programs at one time or another but our favorites are MakeMKV, Acrok HandBrake. However, all of these Blu-ray rippers do a great job at what they do – for no cost at all!

In fact, we made sure every program below is legitimately freeware, meaning that they don’t require that you donate, purchase add-ons, stop using it after so many days, pay for additional features, etc. You can use these tools without watermarks for as long as you like.

Leawo is powerful in multimedia solutions and they develop all its programs into one program called Leawo Prof. Media. And the Bluray ripper and DVD ripper are part of it.
